Here’s the first step to get more energy…

I know it’s simple…

… but don’t overlook it just because you may not see how it’s all tied together…

Think about this… food is supposed to give you energy…

If you get sleepy 30 minutes after eating and feel like taking a nap, then something is broken and we’re about to fix it…

I often come across people who are spending hundreds on supplements and have tried just about every diet out there but still can’t get their energy levels to rise…

… and I often tell them that you can not out supplement a poor diet…

Improving your diet isn’t just about going keto, paleo, vegan or coming up with the “perfect” meal…

My approach to diet is different because I’m looking at diet from a different perspective…

As a beer brewer, I got to learn about digestion…

Here’s the first Beer Diet Project lesson you must learn to boost your energy…

How does your body digest food?

In brewing terms it’s simple…

Add water and minerals to grains…

Basically you “hydrate” the grains and that starts the digestive process…

So when I look at people’s diet, the first thing I look for in their diet is their hydration levels…

… because digestion happens the same way in the body as it does in the brewing setting…

When you eat food, you need water and minerals to properly digest food…

If you are not hydrated, you can’t digest food… not only do you end up constipated, or getting gassy and bloated… but you are also not getting nutrients from food…

If you are not hydrated, you can’t get energy from food…

It doesn’t matter how good the food you are eating is if you are dehydrated…

… and most people don’t even think of water as being part of their diet…

Going beyond digestion… water is H2O… hydrogen and oxygen… which are the raw materials that your body uses to produce energy…

In other words… without water, you can’t produce energy…

Mineralized water is one of 3 main ingredients for energy production…

Drinking water sounds simple… but don’t make the mistake of thinking that hydration is just a matter of drinking more water…

Hydration is a skill… (more on this later)
