What made this so impactful was realizing that the first time I’d seen the word yeast candida was in beer brewing book.
This yeast strain was the same yeast strain that would spoil a batch of beer.
When I understood that piece, gut health made sense in a way that I can’t even begin to describe… the probiotics and bad bacteria we find in brewing are the same we find in our gut. They respond to the same environmental factors.
This is when I started asking myself, “what do I do if I get a bad yeast strain when brewing and it spoils my batch of beer?”
The answer is that I have to dump out the bad batch so that I could clean and sanitize my brewing equipment…
That’s when fasting made the most sense as a tool that I could use to empty out my body vessel so that I could clean and sanitize it…
