Do you treat your body like a disposable piece of equipment that can be replaced?

I did…

I’ve had the attitude that it didn’t matter what I ate because we’re all going to leave this world eventually and I might as well enjoy it while I’m here…

… but imagine driving a car and never turning it off… imagine skipping oil changes and taking it off road without tuning it up…

That’s what I was doing to my body…

I never  gave my digestion a break… I would snack at 10pm right before going to bed…

I would eat carb heavy breakfasts (waffles, cereal, oatmeal, etc.) first thing in the morning without hydrating first…

I would eat and drink booze not knowing booze halts digestion… and I would top off my meals with dessert because #sweettooth

I was running on less than 4 hours of sleep…

Treating my body like a disposable vehicle led to me feeling tired all the time… I’d wake up with horrible brain fog…

My hair started falling off… and I could not lose weight no matter what…

So while I enjoyed myself while eating I suffered the rest of the day…

Things are different when you begin to care for your body… your body heals itself when you sleep… if you are able to get deep, restorative sleep that is…

That is how your body recharges its batteries to give you energy…
