#1 WTF is Beer Diet Project?

#2 I don't drink beer...

I know the latter isn't a question so no need to message me about that...

I'm just leading with that because Beer Diet Project is NOT about drinking beer... 

Here's how it all started...

In 2012 I was dealing with autoimmune/leaky gut issues...

In layman's terms... I was tired all the time... had a hard time falling asleep... would toss and turn all night... would wake up and walk like a zombie...

... basically I felt like I was 84 living in a 28 year old body...

I was told there was nothing I could do about it...

I was told "it's genetics"...

... and "there's nothing wrong with you, you're crazy"...

Meanwhile, my hair was falling off and my anxiety was through the roof... 

I don't know what you call that, but I would not call that "normal"...

So I started researching and learning about my immune system...

I had a major epiphany when I learned that 80% of your immune system is your gut flora, which are probiotics like brewer's yeast and bacteria...

I realized that the same probiotics we need in our guts are the same probiotics we use to make fermented foods and beverages like beer, wine, kombucha, sourdough, sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurt, etc...

With a background in brewing beer, I started using everything I knew about fermentation to grow probiotics, restructure my gut flora and optimize my microbiome to get more energy, sleep better and feel better...

In other words... Beer Diet Project is my journey and philosophy around how I'm using what I learned through brewing beer to optimize my microbiome to strengthen my immune system...

... because your gut is essentially a fermentation vessel... 

All the food that you eat is digested, and turned into vitamins and key nutrients by the same probiotics that are used to ferment foods and beverages... 

Learning about fermentation allowed me to understand how diet and the health of your microbiome affects things like energy, sleep and vitality...

When I started this, my gut wasn't healthy... meaning I had some bad 💩💩 growing in my gut...

... which is the reason why I transitioned and experimented with all these diets...

... and since no one seemed to know how to restore gut health, I started developing my own method...

In the process I discovered that by changing my diet I could raise my energy levels, not just physically, but mentally...

Answer:

This is not about drinking beer...

It's about how I used beer brewing knowledge to fine tune my diet to improve my health, vitality and raise my energy levels...

I started out brewing beer... but I actually don't drink much nowadays...

... but don't worry... I'll be sharing what I believe are best practices if you do drink beer or any other type of booze for that matter...
