The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy - Book Summary

I believe that feeding your mind is just as important as feeding your body...

This is one reason why I love to study the book of Proverbs...

I went past the field of a sluggard, past the vineyard of someone who has no sense; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest - and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man. -Proverbs 24:30-34

If you are a sluggard with your gut health, "fatigue will come on you like a thief and poor sleep like an armed man"...

Reading Proverbs helps me stay consistent with any skill I choose to practice...

Health is a skill...

... and how you do one thing is how you do everything...

Think about this... If you've never practiced snowboarding and you go try it for the first time... would you attempt to ride the double black diamond trails on your first ride?

... or would you start on the "bunny hill"...

Some people are afraid to fall and be laughed at... so they quit before they start...

They wish they could just go ride the "real trails"...

When people ask me to show them phase 2 or phase 3 of Beer Diet Project, that's like asking me to take them on a double black diamond trail when they are still learning how to ride the "bunny hill" without falling...

Only the people that I see practice the skills needed to ride phase 2 or phase 3 of the Beer Diet Project can come ride with me...

If I don't see you practice I won't bring you along no matter how much you tell me you practiced... because I need to see your level of confidence at executing the skill to gauge whether you are ready or need more practice.

There's no rush to advance if you seem to struggle with a challenge throughout your journey... as long as you continue to practice I will spend as much time as needed to coach you until you master the skill needed to move on to the next challenge...

Basically, I need to see a level of confidence in your abilities to design your own diet to practice with...

You need your own diet design to move on to phase 2...

I can't design a diet for you...

I believe the best person to design a diet for you is yourself because only you know how your body feels when you eat different foods... only you can keep track of how you feel...

Your level of confidence will grow each time you complete a challenge until you hit your "wall"... then your mindset will begin to play a role in your confidence...

To help you gain the confidence you need to advance, I put together what I call [Solomon Bootcamp] where I go over different proverbs that gives you the mindset you need to go from dabbling with a skill to achieving a level of mastery that people will look at and say "how?"...

We will be releasing [Solomon Bootcamp] during our upcoming Live [Energy Bootcamp]
